JCI Renews Commitment to MY World Campaign

During the 2014 JCI Area Conferences, JCI members took action to engage young active citizens and surrounding community members in the MY World campaign during each of these unique events in Medellin, Colombia (April 23-26), Lome, Togo (May 21-24), Yamagata, Japan (June 4-7) and St. Julian’s, Malta (June 11-14). JCI adopted the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in 2004 as a way for young active citizens to take targeted action in their communities to create a global impact. The MY World Campaign presents a unique opportunity to continue the commitment and engagement for setting the next set of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the post-2015 process.

“Marca la Diferencia” campaña en Español

Más de 600.000 personas ya han participado en MY World, la primera encuesta de las Naciones Unidas para un mundo mejor  y han votado por sus prioridades de cara a la futura agenda global de desarrollo.

Pero queremos sumar aún más voces.

Mark a Difference campaign in Spanish

More than 600,000 people have already participated on MY World, the United Nations survey for a better world, voting for their priorities for the post-2015 global development agenda.

But we want more voices to be heard!

On Tuesday 4th June, we are launching the “Mark a Difference” communication campaign for MY World, in Spanish to promote more votes in Spanish to give the and Latin America.

Priorities for the global development agenda shaped by unprecedented public outreach effort

New York, 21 March 2013 – The United Nations presented today the first findings from an unprecedented global conversation through which people from all over the world have been invited to help Member States shape the future development agenda that will build on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) after their target date at the end of 2015.

The snapshot report of initial findings entitled “The Global Conversation Begins” was delivered to more than 100 representatives of Member States who will negotiate the future development agenda that is likely to build on the MDGs and sustainable development agenda from Rio+20.
